Spa Six Hours 2009

Spa Six Hours 2009

Last weekend, 25 to 27 September, saw the annual Spa Six Hours take place at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit. Regular racing duo, Adrian Johnson and Mark Midgley were there competing, once again in Aston Martin DB2, in the final leg of the Woodcote Trophy.

This race lasted for one hour on the famous track and saw the duo finish fifth in the class for drum braked cars between 2000cc and 3000cc. Another great result to add to the achievements of the 2009 racing calendar.

This event also saw Sir Stirling Moss, who has recently celebrated his 80th Birthday, race and finish first in class for drum braked cars under 1500cc. This was Sir Stirling’s first outing in his own Osca FS372, with the car being so new out of restoration that it was raced unpainted as the choice of colour had not yet been
decided upon!
