Le Mans 2009 Results
50 years on from the first win for Aston Martin at Le Mans, the 24 hour race proved successful once again, with one of the Aston Martins finishing overall in fourth position and as the quickest of all of the petrol runners. In a race dominated by Diesels this is a fabulous achievement. The top three positions went to Peugeot in first and second and Audi in third.
The Le Mans Legends race saw success for Ferrari and Jaguar with the first place going to a Ferrari 250 LM, second to a Jaguar Lister GT and third to a Ferrari 246S. With such a broad spectrum of entrants and being a race of many different classes and models, it is tough for some who are simply outclassed by the others. However, it is a truly magnificent sight to see such rare cars racing together. 2009 saw all the cars finish, including the entry of Adrian and Mark in the DB3, in what was another high speed and competitive event.
