Fantastic Progress for Post Vintage

Fantastic progress for Post Vintage.

Progress this year is already well underway; Post Vintage have finished a number of projects in time for the upcoming warmer weather. The workshop is getting increasingly busy, with people from all over the country visiting us to get their classic Aston Martin’s serviced and back on the road in time for summer.

Adrian Johnson, managing director of Post Vintage, took a trip to Paris earlier this year, to visit Retro mobile – a widely famous classic car show, and will also be going to Essen in April.

This month, Post Vintage saw a fabulous Aston Martin DB6 Auto come and go incredibly quickly through our doors. This classic car – finished in Dubonnet Rosso was sold within a week, and has now gone on to be with its next owner. The car underwent a minor service before it was sold, to make sure that everything with the car was running to exacting standards before it was passed onto its next owner.

Our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Manual Saloon – bought from us earlier last year by Mr Matthews is now finished. The new paint work that was done by the team at Post Vintage, is finished in Silver Birch and really shows off the cars potential. When this car was originally bought from us early last year and was originally finished in white.

It was collected on the 10th March 2017, and it was evidently clear that Mr Matthews was incredibly happy with the final outcome of the car. To see the full process that the car went through, click here.

In addition to this, a new suspension, shock absorbers, front bumper have been fitted. Also, the car has now got exhaust heat shields as well as a stainless exhaust system. The Aston Martin Zagato rebuild is also making good progress. The chassis now has: matching B pillars, matching A pillars, sills, floor pans and a spare wheel holder. The chassis is now almost complete, with just a windscreen surround and door frames to be made.  All of this metal work is done entirely by hand by our highly skilled fabrication technician. Progress on the rebuild can be found here.
