Post Vintage Engineers – Onwards and upwards for 2017

It has been a busy month here at Post Vintage, the team have been working on a number of restoration projects, and servicing. The workshop has seen a number of different projects come and go and has seen completion of several rebuilds.

Towards the end of November 2016, Post Vintage finished a restoration project that we had been working on. This was a full restoration of an Aston Martin DB6 MK 2 Vantage. The car underwent a complete restoration – turning the colour from a mustard with a worn tan interior, to a fantastic elusive blue exterior and a completely new tan interior. Finished in luxan Connolloy leather. The customer Mr D.Chapman was delighted with the work that we did for him and left us a shining testimonial which can be read here.

Shortly after this Post Vintage were fortunate enough to be featured in the winter edition of Vantage magazine. The article spoke of the restoration process that we provide and how the process works, as well as a detailed description on our impressive workshop and showroom. The article spoke about how the business was first developed by Chris Johnson 37 years ago, and has since been passed down to Adrian Johnson. The full story can be read in the winter 2016 Vantage edition.

We currently have a number or restoration projects that are fully underway. This includes an Aston Martin DB4 which is undergoing a full rebuild, the team are completing the final stages of the body work, and cutting the new carpets to size, to then be fitted in the car. The full restoration process can be viewed here.

In addition, a DB6 that was bought from us earlier in 2016 has undergone a whole new paint job by Post Vintage Engineers. The colour has been changed to silver birch, and is also in the final stages of the restoration process. Click here.

One of the most challenging projects the staff at Post Vintage are working on currently on an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato recreation, which is being built entirely from scratch. Ultimately two of these cars will be built, one of them will be for sale. The progress of this exciting project will be kept updated here.

A DB2/4 that Post Vintage finished restoring in 2010 has now returned for a cosmetic refresh and service in our workshop. This car has won concourses through us and has been well used by the owner since it was completed.

In conclusion 2016 was a great success for Post Vintage, seeing restorations come in and out of the door. 2017 has many projects on the horizon, some close to being finished, and some are just getting started.
